This report provides a national picture of how adult sport and recreation participation in 2007 differs to participation levels measured a decade earlier in 1997.

It is the first in-depth look at how participation levels have changed in New Zealand. The findings are based on data from the 1997 and 2007 Active New Zealand Surveys.
