Accessible document check list

Accessible document check list

Type of document

I have chosen an accessible format and/or providing alternate formats.

Font and Styles

I have used styles and a sans-serif font of at least 12 pt is used for body text. Headings are in the correct order. I’ve used a font size of 16 pt for large print documents.

Language

Readability is appropriate for the audience and the page proofing language set correctly, including any changes of language.

Images

Images have alt tags and any text over images can be read easily.

Tables and Lists

Lists are formatted using styles. Table column headings are clear.

Accessibility Checker used in Word/PowerPoint

I’ve run the accessibility checker on my document and followed recommendations to fix any issues.

Forms

Forms are as simple as they can be to achieve the aim and labels are clear and concise.

Powerpoint

Reading order has been checked.
