Brent joined Sport NZ in January 2023 in the role of Group Manager - Sector Engagement, Marketing & Communications.

He brings a broad range of experience from the commercial and sports sectors. A lengthy career at Lion Breweries saw him hold senior positions in sales, marketing, communications and sponsorship. Brent then spent four years as Chief Executive Officer at Tennis Auckland, and was most recently CEO of the Mt Wellington Licensing Trust.

A member of the Institute of Directors, Brent has spent time on the boards of both Golf New Zealand and more recently Athletics NZ.

A lifelong sports fan, Brent can be seen regularly running around Cornwall Park and driving all over Auckland supporting the activities of his two daughters.
